Vrindavan Ki Rati Vinod - Shri Kaare Khan Ji

Vrindavan Ki Rati Vinod Kunj-Kunjan Men,
Anand Ke Kand Laal Murati Gupal Ki. [1]
Kalidah "Kare" Patal Paithi Naag Nathyau,
Ketaki Ke Phul Tori Laye Mala Haar Ki. [2]
Parasatahin Putana Param Gati Paya Gai,
Palakahin Paar Parayo Ajamil Naraki. [3]
Gidh Gun-Ganahar, Chhaanchh Ke Uganahar,
Aai Naa Ahir! Kyaa Hamari Baar, Baar Ki. [4]

- Shri Kaare Khan Ji

The form of Śrī Gopāla Jī, the very source of all bliss, is supremely enchanting. He eternally delights in loving pastimes within the rasa‑filled groves of Śrī Vṛndāvana. [1]

He entered the depths of Kāliyadaha and descended even to the nether regions to subdue the fearsome serpent Kāliya. From there He brought back beautiful ketakī flowers and fashioned them into a garland of victory. [2]

By His mere touch, even the demoness Pūtanā attained the supreme abode, and by the power of His Holy Name the greatly sinful Ajāmila was delivered in a single moment. [3]

He honored even a bird such as Jaṭāyu, and for a small bowl of buttermilk He dances in various delightful ways before the cowherd maidens of Braja. Śrī Kāre Khān Jī says, “O Cowherd Lord! Has your compassion ceased when it comes to my deliverance? Why have you still not come to me?”. [4]
