At dawn, the extemely skillful sakhī, Śrī Lalitā Jī, gently plays her vīṇā and fills the groves with the sweet melodies of a morning rāga. Resting together upon a bed of fragrant flowers, Śrī Śyāmā-Śyāma listen to her divine melody and become deeply absorbed in the nectar of divine love-bliss. [1]
The sweet, nectar-filled limbs of both are intertwined, for they are bound in an exceptionally strong knot of love. Such is the spell of Their incomparable love that, even when the first rays of the morning sun appear, the Divine Couple remain completely immersed in one another, unwilling to rise from Their blissful embrace. [2]
