A devotee should adopt a vow of exclusive devotion, like the single-hearted fidelity of a pativratā wife. Among all sacred vaṭa trees, one should regard Śrī Vaṁśīvaṭa as supreme, and one should revere Gopeśvara Mahādeva as the greatest of benefactors, for there is no well-wisher more gracious and benevolent than him.
