If, in this rare human birth, one fails to attain the Lord or accomplish the true welfare of the soul, then such an opportunity may never come again, for this human body is not obtained again and again, nor will one’s mother give birth to one repeatedly. If this precious opportunity is lost, one will have to fall into the cycle of the eighty-four lakh species of life, where the punishments and sufferings of Yamarāja will bring unceasing distress. [1]
Therefore, while there is still time, sing the divine virtues of Śrī Hari and attain supreme glory and the rasa of bhakti, for once the melody of your life begins to decline, this strength and capacity for spiritual practice will no longer remain. Śrī Puruṣottama Jī says, “This body is made of soil, and in the end, it is destined to merge back into the dust.” [2]
