- Gosvami Shri Hariraya Ji

O beloved! There is an enchanting spell in your very glance. Ever since I beheld your charming face, I have forgotten my body, mind, and wealth. [1]

My heart grows restless to remain near you, and I no longer delight in wandering elsewhere. Though people gossip about me from house to house, I remain silent within my heart. [2]

All concern for worldly honour, child, and husband has fallen away; what else is now left to happen? Gosvāmī Śrī Harirāya Jī says, “At the very sight of the enchanting form of Priyatama Śyāmasundara, the crown-jewel of rasikas, I lose all awareness of home, family, and the entire worldly life.” [3]
