Yahi To Thi Kabhi Rishi Saubhari Ki Tapobhumi,
Paas Men Mili Hui Yamuna Ki Satah Se. [1]
Kalit Kadamb Tare Raaj Rahe Keshav Ke,
Chhote Chhote Manju Pad Kanj Ki Tarah Se. [2]
Dekho Khada Nirbhaya Sahastr Phani Mandal Pai,
Mand Mand Murali Bajata Huaa Thah Se. [3]
Naath Laya Kalinag Hota Anuman Yahi,
Kud Ke Kanhaiya Aya Abhi Kalidah Se. [4]

This is the very same sacred land of Śrī Dhāma Vṛndāvana, which was once the place of penance of Sage Saubhari, situated closely along the banks of Yamunā Jī. [1]
Beneath a beautiful kadamba tree, Śrī Kṛṣṇa appears resplendent, His small and charming feet resembling delicate lotuses. [2]
Behold! He stands fearlessly upon the canopy of hoods of the thousand-hooded serpent Kāliya, softly playing His sweet, melodious flute. [3]
Even today, it feels as though Śrī Kṛṣṇa has only just arrived, after leaping into the deep waters of Kālīdah and subduing the serpent Kāliya. [4]
