- Shri Hit Harivansh Mahaprabhu, Shri Hit Chaurasi (55)

O sakhī! Today, two flashes of lightning are competing with each other. Both are amidst newly formed dark clouds, immersed in their dark hue. One is the lightning flashing amidst the dark clouds in the sky, while the other is Śrī Rādhā, who shines beautifully in the company of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, whose complexion resembles a dark raincloud. [1]

O sakhī! One flash of lightning shines in every direction with its natural beauty, while the other, Śrī Rādhā, rests between the two arms of Her Beloved Śrī Kṛṣṇa, enveloped in His loving embrace. [2]

Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s two arms resemble blue lotuses, between which Śrī Rādhā’s beautiful, moonlike face shines resplendently. Before the incomparable radiance of Her moonlike face, the movements of His lotus-like arms seem to have become still. Śrī Hita Harivaṃśa, absorbed in the mood of a sakhī, says that Śrī Kṛṣṇa is exceedingly eager to kiss Śrī Rādhā’s moonlike face, which shines with the brilliance of the full autumn moon. [3]
