The true fulfillment of human life is attained only when one seeks refuge in the rasika saints who are deeply attached to the lotus feet of Śrī Śyāmā-Śyāma. Through such shelter alone does one experience the genuine, rasa-filled, and truly meaningful life of Braja.
Shri Brajjivan Ji was born around 1738. He had a natural tendency to read the biographies of the devotees which he may have received from his parents in the form of ancestral property.
Śrī Rādhā’s name is the most auspicious, Śrī Rādhā’s form is the most auspicious; Śrī Rādhā is the only source of my life and Her divine ‘Keli’ [playful] pastimes are peerless.
O Śrī Rādhey, it is not possible to find any simile of Your charming face, which can only be compared to itself. The sharp arrow of Your sidelong glances makes the arrows of Cupid insipid.
O Sri Radha, please bless me with the residence of Vrindavan, birth after birth. I wish to sing your glories exclusively, birth after birth.
