The ignorant beings remain constantly absorbed in fleeting worldly relationships and accumulating material possessions, yet continually abandon the causeless love of Śrī Śyāmasundara, his one and only true well-wisher. Completely turning away from the supreme spiritual goal, he turns his back upon it and directs his vision, all his endeavors, and the entire pursuit of his life solely toward fulfilling his selfish desires.
Śrī Agrasvāmī Jī says that just as a tree standing on a riverbank may be swept away at any moment, human life is likewise extremely uncertain. Therefore, while life remains in the human body, one should quickly engage in the Lord’s remembrance and worship, thus rectifying the misfortune of countless births. Otherwise, once the bird-like soul leaves the cage of the body, what value does that empty cage hold?
