Surdas Madanmohan is regarded as a follower of the Gaudiya tradition and a devoted disciple of Sanatan Goswami. He dedicated his entire life to the service and worship of Madanmohan Ji, composing devotional verses and residing in Vrindavan. His era is believed to date to around the 16th century.
