Kabir Das (1398/1440 – 1448/1518) was a 15th-century Indian mystic poet and saint, whose writings influenced Hinduism's Bhakti movement and his verses are found in Sikhism's scripture Guru Granth Sahib and Kabir Sagar.

A devotee of the Lord should remain concerned only with the remembrance of Śrī Hari’s divine name and should not allow the mind to dwell upon anything else. Whatever matters one contemplates apart from the divine name of Śrī Hari ultimately become like the noose of death, binding the soul to the cycle of birth and death.
Kabīradāsa Jī says, This human body is destined to perish one day, so while the opportunity still remains, make use of it for your highest spiritual good. If you truly seek your welfare, either perform selfless service to the saints or sing the glories of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
O mind! The true purpose of attaining this human body is to constantly engage in the devotion of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Murāri. The real happiness of human life lies in devotion to the Lord, for this rare opportunity is not attained again and again.
The yogi’s mind remains untouched by the hue of love; only his clothes have been dyed. Sitting cross-legged in the temple, he gazes at the idol, yet fails to perceive the divine presence within it, or to recognize that God resides in every heart. Instead, he worships the idol merely as a piece of stone.
This is the house of love, not a mere joke. Entry is granted to those who place their head on the ground.
Kabīra Dāsa Jī says that one may turn the beads of a rosary with the hands and chant the holy name with the tongue, but if the restless mind continues wandering in all ten directions, such practice cannot be called true devotion or remembrance. Genuine bhajana is that in which the mind is completely absorbed in the Lord alone.
The lotus blossoms in the water, while the moon resides in the sky. Yet when its reflection shines upon the water, it appears near despite being far away. In the same way, whoever dwells within one's heart remains ever near, even though physically distant.
Shri Kabirdas says, O mind! Your precious life is wasted in only talks, when will you chant “Krishn”?
Śrī Kabīrdās Jī suggests, what is the benefit of chanting 'Kabīra-Kabīra'? If one wishes to behold the true form of divine love, go to the sacred banks of Śrī Yamunā in Vṛndāvana, where the love of every single Gopī is so great that millions upon millions of Kabīrs could be sacrificed upon it.
