O wise and noble souls! Remember Śrī Hari at every moment of your life, and let your tongue constantly chant, “Hari, Hari.” Belong to Śrī Hari alone in every way, for therein lies the highest fulfillment and true purpose of life.
O Lord Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa! You must now bestow Your grace and deliver me, for otherwise I am bound to a most pitiable fate. You are the purifier of the fallen and the redeemer of countless souls. My sole refuge is Your causeless mercy — for without it, no one can ever attain You through one’s own sādhanā (spiritual practices).
O Cloud! Just as the trees stand helpless, unable to walk toward water, it is your duty to bring rain to them. Similarly, when a soul becomes tired of wandering through countless lives and fully surrenders, Lord Ghanshyam Himself draws near, shelters that soul, and showers it with divine nectarous grace.
When I look at my own faults, my mind becomes restless with fear, losing all awareness of myself. But, O Lord! The moment I contemplate Your glorious titles such as Patita-Pāvana (Savior of the fallen), Adhama-Udhārana (Redeemer of the wretched), I am filled with great peace, trusting that surely, the Lord will also deliver someone fallen like me.
Sri Rasanidhi says — No matter how many disguises or outward dances one performs, unless the heart is pure and honest, Lord Shri Krishna will not be pleased. External displays like wearing saffron robes, shaving the head, or growing matted locks are all meaningless without sincere, loving devotion free from deceit and hypocrisy.
Whomsoever the Lord Himself chooses to uplift, no matter how fallen or unworthy they may appear, He protects them from every obstacle. Shri Rasnidhi says: The Lord’s devotees and scriptures, such as Bhagavata, stand witness to this truth.
If a singer forgets the khartal, the rhythm of the raga collapses. Similarly, if the mind is disconnected from God and only the senses are engaged, bhakti loses its essence, and spiritual rasa cannot arise.
The Supreme Brahman, whom the Vedas describe with the words “neti neti,” beyond the reach, appeared in Braj as the all-attractive Lord Shri Krishna.
Sri Rasnidhi says that I have sought refuge in such divine lotus feet of Lord Krishna, from which emerges the celestial Ganges, sanctifying the entire world.
May the form of Śrī Kṛṣṇa forever dwell in my eyes, His glories in my ears, His holy name upon my tongue, and His beautiful lotus feet within my heart.
The glory of those who have completely surrendered their body, mind, and wealth unto Śrī Kṛṣṇa is boundless. To describe them in any measure is far beyond my capacity.
Rasanidhi Jī says—The sweet love of Śrī Kṛṣṇa is exceedingly wondrous. Ordinarily, darkness is intensified by the color black, but here, the very moment one remembers the dark-complexioned Śyāmasundara, the darkness of ignorance within the heart is completely dispelled. Such is the extraordinary nature of this love.
Rasanidhi says that when the bee-like mind becomes absorbed at the lotus feet of Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, the Lord's transcendental form—which always remains hidden from worldly people—naturally reveals itself, while the visible material world disappears from one's vision.
The gopīs say, "O Madhukara (Uddhava)! Be silent. Who here, in this land of divine love, would ever practice your yoga of the impersonal Brahma path? Our hearts have already been bound to the edge of Śrī Kṛṣṇa's yellow garment. Who could possibly untie them from there and attach them elsewhere?"
O Lord! Every pore of my being is filled with sin; I am the foremost among sinners. Rasanidhi says, "O Lord, it is Your responsibility alone to sustain and deliver such a sinner as I."
The Supreme Lord has manifested Himself as both rasa [divine nectar] and rasika [the transcendental relisher of that nectar]. He Himself is the sacred Svātī raindrop, and He Himself is the yearning chātaka bird that longs to drink it.
The association of even the servants of the servants of those whose bee-like minds constantly hover around the lotus feet of Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa is exceedingly dear to me.
