Shri Kalyan Pujari

Shri Kalyan Pujari was born in 1543 in a brahmin family. He was initiated by Goswami Shri Vanchandra Ji of the Radhavallabh sect. Shri Kalyan Pujari used to be very happy to eat the leftover food remnants of Rasik devotees. The service of Shri Radhavallabh Temple was in the hands of Kalyan Pujari, (pujari means priest), so the people started calling him Kalyan 'Pujari'. Shri Kalyan Pujari used to feed Rasik saints and eat their leftover food remnants himself, so many other people were displeased with him and looked at him with an inferiority complex. They also complained to Goswami Ji about his deeds. When Kalyan Pujari came to know about this, he himself gave up the service of the temple. On the same night, Goswami Ji had darshan of Shri Radha in which She said that I will accept only the offerings from the hands of Kalyan Pujari. Again in the morning, Goswami Ji called Kalyan Pujari and handed him the service of the temple.
