Raag Peelu belongs to Kafi Thaat. The mood of this Raag is light and thus apt for Thumri and Bhajans. This Raag is full of devotion and piety. Raag Peelu is sung in the afternoon from 12 PM - 3 PM.

With great effort, one should abandon the association of sinful souls who are turned away from the Lord (bhagavad-vimukha), because their words pierce the heart like sharp arrows. One should remain extremely cautious, even of accidentally meeting, seeing, or touching them, because such association (asat-saṅga) inevitably becomes a great obstacle on the path to attaining the Lord.
O Svāminī, setting aside all my faults and failings, kindly look upon me with Your grace and grant me residence within the Nikunja. Nowhere in the three worlds have I ever seen or even heard of a pair as charming and enchanting as the divine Couple, Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa.
Now nothing feels pleasing to me apart from the divine līlās of Braj. Supreme perfection of life lies in residing in the sacred foothills of Girirāj Ji alone.
O Shyama (Radha), now I can no longer remain without You. Each moment is filled with the agony of your remembrance, and your eternal abode, Sevakunj, appears most enchanting to my heart.
Without devotion to God, this body is useless — it is merely filled with filth like excrement and urine, and without bhajan (devotional worship), this fleshly form becomes completely fruitless.
O Beloved, step into the temple of my heart, where I shall forever keep you inside.
Behold, dear friend, the unparalleled beauty of Shri Pyari Ju (Sri Radha) intently. In the enchanting groves, Vanmali (Shri Krishn), stands resplendent beside the daughter of Vrishabhanu, Shri Radha.
Shri Radha tells Sakhi "O Sakhi, let not the Darling of Nand (Shri Krishn) be entered to My presence; However much He may be tempted, allow Him not to enter My palace.
O ever-youthful one, O charming Shyama (Radha), You alone are my governing authority! I have exclusive trust upon you, I have nothing to do with anyone else.
O Kishoriji, when will you accept me? When will you provide me the residence of Vrindavan by placing your lotus hand upon my head?
Shri Kishori Ali Ji prays to Shri Radha, O Ladli! When will you grant me the pleasure of your service? When will you give me the abode of Shri Vrindavan by placing your lotus hand on my head?
O sakhi [lady-friend], Sri Radhikaju has chanted Her Beloved 'Shyam' Name so much that She herself has become the Dark One!
There is no fortunate woman like Śrī Rādhā in the three worlds, whose husband is Lord of all three worlds, ever encircling Her neck with His arms.
