The eyes, speech, mind, and ears of a Virahiṇī gopī have all gone to her beloved Śyāmasundara. Within the confines of her body, only a few life-breaths remain, sustained solely by the hope that her Beloved will return one day.
O Kiśorī Śrī Rādhe, whatever I may be — good or bad — I belong to You alone. I am restless day and night in the agony of your separation; kindly hear my call without delay.
Through this couplet, Dayābāī Jī expresses the divine experience of beholding Śyāmā-Śyāma in Śrī Vṛndāvana Dhāma. Although Śrī Rādhā has not adorned Her eyes with collyrium, even without it, these khanjana-like glances possess the power to dispel the pangs of separation from the heart of Vṛndāvana-Bihārī, Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
