There are only two kinds of true servants of the Lord in this world: those who steadfastly follow the path of sacred discipline (nemī), and those who are completely absorbed in exclusive divine love (premī). Whether one is a nemī or a premī, one quality is common to both—their minds are never immature or unsteady.
O beloved, please promise Me that You will never enter into loving sulk (māna). Do not, even in Your heart, hold māna; do not speak with harshness, nor through Your actions frighten Me by raising Your brows.
In Vṛndāvana, Lord Hari (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) is joyfully playing Holī. The rhythms of tāla, mṛdaṅga (a double-sided drum), jhāñjha (cymbals), and ḍapha (tambourine) are being played in every direction, as Nandalāla (Kṛṣṇa) and Vṛṣabhānu-kiśorī (Rādhā) together celebrate the festival in delight.
All glories, again and again, to Śrī Rādhā Mahārānī, the beloved daughter of Vṛṣabhānu. All glories to that supremely enchanting Śrī Dhām Vṛndāvan, where fragrant gardens of creepers, groves, and flowers are forever splendid.
O Lord, grant me the form of the peacock of Braj. I will dance day and night in the streets of Vraj for You.
O Bhānu-Nandini, Śrī Rādhā! Please cast Your merciful glance upon me. My heart burns in the fire of worldly desires—please shower even a single drop of Your grace to bring soothing coolness.
O Sri Radha! Who else in this vast universe could be so merciful that, merely by uttering half of Your name, “Ra” from “Rādhā,” You remove the darkness from the hearts of Your surrendered ones?

O Nandalal, please look towards me and see the pain of my body. Show me the vision of the supremely holy dust of Vraj, through which my distress will be easily removed.
The charming son of Nanda, Shri Krishna plays His sweet flute on the banks of the Yamuna, beneath the shade of Vanshivat. His form is overflowing with rasa and supremely enchanting.
A sakhi says to another — O friend! The enchanting son of Nanda has stolen my very heart. As I went to milk the cow, Krishna glanced at me and smiled, casting some unknown spell upon me.
Shri Radha, whose eyes resemble the gentle gaze of a graceful deer, is magnificently adorned today. Even Madanamohan (Sri Krishna), the enchanter of Cupid himself, is completely lost in Her beauty and lovingly engaged in braiding Her hair.
My heart is now forever tied to my beloved Madan Mohan. The gentle swing of pearl strands from His slanted crown is etched so deeply within me, that it has erased all else.
Shri Radha is the very life of Shri Krishna, and Shri Krishna is the very life of Shri Radha. This treasure of love, the divine couple, gazes continuously at each other’s enchanting form, yet they never feel satisfied; their longing only deepens.
Alas, I have spoiled everything in every possible way. I have thrown away the injunction of the Vedas, the sense of social modesty and family decorum.
O Beloved Queen of Braj, Sri Radha! Have mercy upon me. Without the lotus-like dust of Your feet, my bee-like mind cannot survive even for a moment.
Shri LalJi’s (Krishn’s) beloved, Shri Radhika, is adorned in a beautiful blue saree and a fragrant, tightly fitted kanchuki (bodice), enhancing her divine beauty.
O Priyaju, your sidelong glances are piercing Shri Lal Ji’s (Shri Krishna’s) heart with such deep agony. What more can be said now? What is there left to express?
Lalji (Shri Krishna) says to Shri Radha, "O Pyari Ju! Seeing your moon-like face, the lotus of desire in the lake of my heart has blossomed."
I surrender myself to the enchanting glimpses of Sri Bihariniju [Radha], the ever-youthful goddess of Braj, the crest-jewel among beautiful maidens, and the one who has enslaved Sri Kunjbihari [Krishn].
