Shri Mahavani is written by Shri Harivyas Devacharya, Rasik Saint of Vrindavan of Nimbaraka Sampradaya disciple of Bhata Devacharya. This is one of the great texts of Vrindavan Rasopasna. Mostly includes the sweetness of shringara rasa. It has five chapters: Seva sukh, Utsah sukh, Surat sukh, Sahaja sukh and Sidhhant sukh, all of which are related to one aspect or another of the Yugal Sarkar pastimes. O beautiful Svāminī Jī, the very embodiment of the ocean of bliss, please hear my prayer! You alone are the one who intensifies the divine love-rasa. O fair-complexioned (Śrī Rādhā Gorī Jū), O beloved Priyā Jī, all glories forever to You! Please bestow such grace upon me that I may remain Your maidservant eternally.
Śrī Harivyāsa Devācārya says that an aspirant on the path of rasopāsanā should not outwardly dress like a sakhī but rather cultivate sakhī-bhāva within the heart upon rising in the morning. Through this deeply contemplated mood of a sakhī, one should lovingly identify with one’s eternal spiritual identity, that is, one’s eternal service-form (or the guru-bestowed siddha form) situated within the divine nikunjas. This alone is the prescribed means of entering one’s eternal service as an intimate sakhī.
O beloved Priyā Jū, kindly consider this prayer of mine: may your tender and rasa-filled form remain forever imprinted within my heart, day and night. May your divine form never depart from my contemplation, even if I should try to turn my mind away from it.
The ever-new divine couple, Śrī Lāḍilīlāla, are the very life and treasure of all the sakhīs and sahacarīs. They grant supreme bliss and eternally protect the very life of Their devotees.
This fair-and-dark divine couple, ever absorbed in Their eternal nitya-vihāra (love-plays) only for the pleasure of the rasikas, possess a boundless generosity unmatched by any other couple.
The lotus-face of Śrī Rādhā is the abode of bliss, filled with divine love, where the life-breath of Her beloved, Śrī kṛṣṇa resides. Indeed, it alone is the source of life of His very existence.
Śrī Śyāmā Jū (Śrī Rādhā) grants the highest form of devotion, who continually increases the nectar, and is the bestower of every form of happiness. For rasikas, Śrī Rādhikā alone is the supreme crest-jewel—Glory, glory to such Śrī Rādhā Mahārāṇī, whose eyes resemble newly blossomed lotuses.
Śrī Haripriyā Sakhi says: "O Sakhi! my eyes are truly satisfied only when they behold the vihāra (love-plays) of the divine couple. Through this darśana alone, all the cherished desires of my heart are fulfilled."
All glories to the one and only, Shri Radha Maharani, who is filled with divine rasa and is the very source of life of Sri Krishn. By whose grace pure love became manifest, and who, after filling the ocean of love, submerged herself in it.
An ever-youthful couple like this ‘Yugala Kishor’ (Shri Radha-Krishna) has neither ever been seen nor even heard of anywhere. The beauty of each of their limbs is so astonishing that even millions of Cupids could be sacrificed upon it.
All glory to ever-new Shri Radhika — She who removes all sorrows, bestows supreme joy to Shri Krishna, protects those who surrender to Her, and is the very source of my life.
The most enchanting and rapturous pair, the dark-complexioned Shyam and the fair-complexioned Radha, are supremely generous. So deeply absorbed are they in each other's nectar that even a brief separation feels unbearable and drowns them in the pain of longing.
Shri Krishna says, “O Radhe! My eyes, like enchanted bees, are so intoxicated by the nectar of love at Your lotus feet that they hover around them without pause, day and night.”
O graceful lotus-eyed Nagariji (Shri Radha)! O gentle and soft-spoken Sukumariji! You are the dearest beloved of Shri Hari. Therefore, please embrace Him and grant Him supreme bliss.
O Beloved (Shri Radha), my mind does not wander here or there, leaving the hope of your lotus feet. Beyond the shade of your lotus-feet, nothing else in this universe brings me peace.
Sing ceaselessly the glories of Swamini Shri Radha, who enchants even Sri Krishna Himself and whose form is filled with nectar from head to toe.
O Shri Radha, supreme among all! My exclusive desire is to always stay at your lotus feet, like a bee, day and night.
O Swamini Ju (Shri Radha), the abode of all happiness! Whatever splendor or glory exists is solely due to your divine lotus feet. I possess no merit of my own. The honor you bestow upon me is solely due to your boundless and supremely generous nature.
Shri Lalji (Sri Krishna), overwhelmed with joy, reverently holds the lotus feet of Shri Swamini Ji and says: O treasure of bliss, Shri Swamini Ji! Who can understand this secret without you?
Whoever sings, hears, or narrates the 'Surat Vihara' (love-play) of the divine couple (Radha Krishna) becomes qualified to attain the most rare love-bliss that arises from the endless divine play of Keli.
