Raag Kanharau (or Kanhar) is one of the most commonly used Ragas which is mostly sung in the second half of the night. It is also called Raag Darbari after Tansen performed it on various occasions in the royal palaces. This Raag results in a sweet and heavy atmosphere.

O Śrī Rādhā! Listen attentively to the melody of the flute; within the nikunja, Śrī Śyāmasundara is singing of Your virtues alone. Whenever the breeze arrives after touching Your sacred limbs, He steps forward to meet it and lovingly embraces it to His heart.

Śrī Rādhā’s intimate companion, Śrī Vipulabihāriṇīdāsī, says to her soul-beloved sakhi (Śrī Rādhā) — O beloved Priyā Jū! Please meet and sport together with Śrī Mohanalāla (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) as per your heartfelt wish. When you become intoxicated in divine rasa and engage in amorous plays of love with your beloved Kuñjabihārī, then only our body, mind, and very life-breath blossom with joy, as though every pore of our being becomes completely fulfilled in every way.
O Gopījana-vallabha, Śrī Kṛṣṇa! This alone is the boon I ask from You — that whenever I take birth as a human being, may I attain the service of Śrī Hari and residence only in Śrī Braja Dhāma.
Śrī Kuñjabihāriṇī Jū (Śrī Rādhā) wears around her neck a simple necklace of two strands of pearls. O sakhī! My gaze cannot move away from her, even for a moment.
O Pyārījū (Śrī Rādhā)! I vow that I have never beheld anyone comparable to You in beauty, virtues, or cleverness. Even toward Your own beloved, You display such loving sulk (māna)—please tell, from where did You learn this art?

O dear friend! Even by offering one’s very life, this supreme love for Ladilī Lāl (Shri Radha-Krishna) is not attained. Such is the extraordinary and priceless nature of this divine love. So, O friend! You tell me—how can such love be obtained?
