I was immersed in the ocean of this world of ignorance, absorbed in sense pleasures, just as a fish continuously dwells in the waters of a pond, while the death-like heron, with focused attention, sits poised to make me His prey, counting every hour and moment.
When Nanda's son Śrī Kṛṣṇa, filled with supreme love, bowed down at the lotus feet of Pyarī Jū (Śrī Rādhā) and touched those lotus feet, Priyā Jī’s loving mana (sulk) was appeased, and She became pleased. Thus, all the sorrow and anguish of separation were completely dispelled.
Again and again, Śrī Kṛṣṇa lovingly touches Śrī Rādhā’s lotus feet with His hands and repeatedly offers Himself at Her feet. With deep humility and earnest pleading, He says, “O beloved, please now give up this loving sulk.”
O Māninī, Śrī Rādhā, please now abandon Your loving sulk. Your skillful beloved Śyāmasundara stands before You with a heart full of longing and sorrow.
Śrī Hita Bhorīsakhī Jī says— O Sohanī (broom)! I wish to sacrifice my millions of bodies, minds, and lives upon every single grain of this Vṛndāvana dust, so please don’t sweep it away and throw it. Just think for a moment — accept my humble request.
O Kṛṣṇa, even if You consider me unworthy and choose to forget me, still bestow such grace upon me that I may never forget You. May I forever sing Your divine glories, meditate upon You without cease, and when You show loving sulk, may I gently and devotedly strive to appease You.
In the divine līlā-places of Barsānā, such as Vilāsgarh, Dāngarh, and Māngarh, the love-laden clouds of fair-complexioned Śrī Rādhā are forever showering. There, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, like a chataka bird longing for that rain, constantly drinks the flowing stream of Her love-bliss.
Lord Brahmā and Indra say, “We do not desire the sovereignty of Brahmaloka or even the throne of heaven. If we could obtain the fortune of becoming even a single tree in Braj, we would remain there forever.”
O Pyārījū (Śrī Rādhā)! I vow that I have never beheld anyone comparable to You in beauty, virtues, or cleverness. Even toward Your own beloved, You display such loving sulk (māna)—please tell, from where did You learn this art?
Abandon pride, honor, and dishonor, and dwell in Śrī Dhām Vṛndāvan. Become like a speck of dust in its supremely auspicious raj (dust)—only then does the light of divine love awaken within the heart.
An aspirant of divine love should not fear the ridicule or criticism of the world. He endures everything for the sake of his true treasure, God realization. Even if he faces insults or hardships, he remains unconcerned and moves steadfastly toward his spiritual goal.
O Pyārījū! I am trying every possible way to appease your sulking, but I am now completely helpless. Even while residing in your very own capital, Vrindavan, I keep devising new ways every moment to please You, but all My efforts end in vain.
While thoughtfully arranging the loving meeting of Shri Radha with Her beloved Lalji (Krishna), the close companion (Vitthal Vipul) gently says — O Sakhi! I sacrifice myself to you. Let us walk slowly toward the Beloved.
Pyariju writes, “Beloved, do not meditate upon me too much — otherwise you become like me. Then, to whom shall I display my loving sulk?”
Only that speech is meaningful which sings the glories of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, and only those ears are truly blessed which listen to His nectar-like praises.
O Laḍilī Shri Rādhe, the crown jewel of all chaturtā (wisdom)! Pride, praise, jealousy and worldly joy and sorrow — all these ultimately bring suffering. Please be kind and protect me from all of these, and keep me forever engaged in devotion of Your lotus feet.
Sri Vitthalvipul Biharinidasi says, O Radha! Your eyes speak the truth of love. Why then do you try to mislead us with false replies and playful denials? Let go of this mock sulk.
One should lovingly wander through the divine places of Barsana, such as Mor Kuti, Dangarh, Mangarh, and Vilasgarh, immersing oneself in divine love-bliss. Rest beneath the shade of the creepers in Gehvar Van, chanting “Shri Radha Radha” with devotion.
I have attained this state of divine love through dancing. In Vrindavan’s rasa play, bliss is ever-increasing.
